Huge Courthouse Steps

Wishing the weather was like this.  It's been raining for the last four days so snuggly hand quilting is greatly appreciated!
 Used Anna Griffin's Honoka...
....burgundys up two sides and greys on the other two for a huge Courthouse Steps block.
Leftovers round the edges.  Boy I miss that sunshine!
Size 8 perle cotton chunkiness.  The quilting goes so fast with big thread and big needle!
This is earmarked for a special friend's daughter who is buying her first home.
Guess I need to make a special label!:)
Happy December 1st!:)

Quiltdad inspired and my Latest Obsession!

Wanted to make a little runner from some Anna Griffin fabric, something simple but a little different....just couldn't think of anything...until I saw John's (Quiltdad) little mug rugs....
...such a simple idea and really fun to do....

....thanks bunches for the inspiration John!:)

Here at the shop is my latest love....Anna Maria Horner's Loulouthi....I don't know if I am going to be able to resist it....

....but even more tempting is this huge case of Presencia Finca Perle Cotton!!! Over 150 colors in size 8 and 12.....oh the possibilities!!! I bought 5 balls today...I need to get a large jar to store them. They are just tooo, too pretty to hide away!
