I Love Hand Stitching....and....I DO Win Something!!

I just don't know why I don't do it more!:) I'm doing Round 2 of Hoop Up! I'm in a group with three other crafty ladies Kate, Jo and Courtney. Each of us picks a theme and sews an inspiration piece showing the others what we would like. The above is my piece. I love Room & Board and Design Within Reach so that is where I am sending my posse for inspiration Here is my mosaic! If you click on each of my partners names you can see their inspiration mosaics and the fun I am going to have with this group!!
On the Doll Quilt Swap 9 front here is the label for my secret partner's quilt. I almost put the photo with my partner's name....goodness!;0 Yep, I do love hand stitching...and the other good thing about it is sitting with hubby on the couch instead of at the sewing machine!;)

My other exciting news is that I found out they announced on Scott Kelby's 3rd Annual Worldwide Photowalk site (man that's a mouthful!) that each winning photo from every city will get an online coupon for either The Lightroom 3 Book for Digital Photographers or The Photoshop CS5 Book for Digital Photographers, to be delivered completely free!:) Since I only have Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 I don't think either of them will help me...so which one would you get?:)
Too bad one of my choices isn't Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 for Dummies!!!:)

  1. I love your inspiration piece! What fun subject matter. I can't wait to see them all. I would love to do more handstitching. I especially like projects like that in the winter (my sewing space is COLD!)

  2. Wowsers, your stitching is GOOD! I suck at embroidery - it always looks wonky. I have PSE 4.0, too! I use it for just about every photo I take!

  3. Get the Photoshop one--much is the same between the two programs. Adorable embroidery!

  5. I love your stitching, you must be very arty to be able to transfer your picture into your embroidery. Can't help you with the photo thing, I just point and shoot....
